Purpose: To report on annual energy consumption and expenditures across state-owned facilities, track building performance metrics, and identify actionable strategies for statewide energy optimization.
Authority: Prepared in accordance with the Mississippi Energy Sustainability and Development Act of 2013 (Miss. Code Ann. § 57-39-19), which directs the Energy and Natural Resources Division to coordinate the development and implementation of energy management plans for state-owned and operated facilities.
Data Accuracy and Reporting Reliance: The accuracy, comprehensiveness, and forecasting value of the statewide energy metrics presented in this report are intrinsically dependent upon each state agency submitting correct, verified utility data in a timely fashion. While delayed or inaccurate entries can significantly impact state aggregates and forecasting models, ENRD is exceptionally pleased to report a 100% compliance rate this year. All participating state agencies successfully met their reporting requirements for FY 2026, ensuring this dataset is as robust and accurate as possible.
